Parks and Open Space
At the heart of the project is a functional wetland which harvests 500 Megalitres of water from the Sturt River for use in irrigation of 30 other open spaces and for groundwater recharge.
In this project, success is demonstrated by the landscape architects’ vision to deliver the extraordinary extensive play spaces within the parkland setting of the new Optus Stadium located on Burswood peninsula.
This project succeeds in creating a transformational parkland that artfully integrates play into the natural landscape.
3 Hectare ‘community habitat’ for the suburb of Tarneit. Based around the ecology and history of the site, the design proposes a juxtaposition of immersive natural and cultural experiences inspired by the local basalt grassland ecology and the settlers homestead remnants.
When you're in the great outdoors, it's easy to succumb to the beauty and scale of the landscape around you. But every now and then, you need some guidance – a light touch on the shoulder to point out something spectacular, or a gentle deviation in a trail to focus your attention on something that could have easily passed you by.
