2018 Queensland Award of Excellence - Tourism

CUSP and TOPOTEK1

The Home of the Arts (HOTA) Outdoor Stage is an important live music and performance destination for the Gold Coast, showing that the city has more to offer than its iconic beaches. The whole-of-precinct design approach activates this inland canal environment whilst attracting a broad audience. The merging of stage and landform creates a distinctive landscape experience and elevated outlook that ensures there is no back of house area and creates a memorable experience outside of concert mode.

HOTA’s distinctive cellular design language and parkland character take full advantage of the Gold Coast's fantastic climate. This replacement for  previous temporary parkland event spaces is set to establish itself as Queensland’s most prominent outdoor amphitheatre.
